Lookin' for Sherlock?  Try FaceBook!
Crying or Very sad Traffic on the Illustrious Clients has been disappointing. It seems few are using the site to share or exchange information. After a year and a half we only have 25 signed-up users, and a tiny handful who ever post anything. Since there is a cost to keep the site up and running, we will allow it to expire when our current contract runs out in August '09.

Not sure how this slipped under my radar until now, it was released in late March, but it appears that at long last the 1937 German film "Der Mann, der Sherlock Holmes war" (The Man Who Was Sherlock Holmes) has finally been released to DVD in an English subtitled version...

Two New Holmes Films in the Works....
According to Entertainment Weekly:
~ July 1, 2008. Columbia Pictures announced that an untitled Sherlock Holmes comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen as Holmes and Will Ferrell as Dr. Watson will be produced by Judd Apatow and written by Etan Cohan.
~ July 9, 2008. Warner Bros. named Robert Downey Jr. as the lead in its more action-adventure inclined Sherlock Holmes. Guy Ritchie will direct, and the script will be based on an upcoming comic book. No Dr. Watson has been cast. Shooting begins in October 2008, with a fall 2009 planned release date...
